Gonzalez's claims of retiring from the NFL following 2013 was not true. On March 15 2013 Gonzalez signed with Falcons the two-year deal worth $14,000,000. Randy Moss retired in 2013, and Gonzalez at 37 at the time, completed the year that ended his playing career as the NFL leader for receiving yards.
