Anthony David Gonzalez (born August 25, 1970) is an American former football tight-end. Gonzalez was a player in the National Football League from 1997 to 2003. Considered one of America's best tight ends of all time and holds the NFL record for having the highest number of receiving yards for any tight end. He is third in all time for the amount of receptions.

The former Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons All-Pro tight end Tony Gonzalez currently serves as an FOX Sports studio analyst. Gonzalez has been anchoring FOX NFL KICKOFF for the past few years. FOX NFL KICKOFF is FOX NFL's pregame program that airs prior to FOX NFLSUNDAY. It airs at 11:45 AM ET each Sunday throughout the NFL season.
Gonzalez's claims of retiring from the NFL following 2013 was not true. On March 15 2013 Gonzalez signed with Falcons the two-year deal worth $14,000,000. Randy Moss retired in 2013, and Gonzalez at 37 at the time, completed the year that ended his playing career as the NFL leader for receiving yards.
